SUBSTANCE: method of whitening teeth enamel can be used to whiten tooth enamel, including at home. A method of whitening teeth enamel involves using a bleaching agent for teeth enamel and irradiating the bleached teeth surface with light in the wavelength range of 350–500 nm for 5–15 minutes. Two mixed components are used as a bleaching agent: the first component in the form of a transparent hydrogel containing carbamide peroxide in a concentration of 1 to 17% by weight, and the second component containing phthalimidoperoxycaproic acid in a concentration of 1 to 10% by weight. After irradiation, the light source is turned off, and the teeth enamel whitening agent is left on the surface of the teeth to be whitened for another 5–10 minutes. The whitening agent is applied to the surface of the teeth to be whitened using a tray. To apply the whitening agent, a layer of the first component is first placed in the tray, and the layer of the first component is covered with a layer of the second component so that the equivalent amount of hydrogen peroxide in the contact area of the teeth surface to be whitened and the oral mucosa with the compositions used does not exceed 0.1%.

EFFECT: reducing the risk of side effects of teeth enamel whitening and reducing the probability of damage or irritation to the gums and mucous membranes of the oral cavity while simultaneously expanding the functionality of the method of teeth enamel whitening.
