FIELD: communication equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control over teletraffic of multiservice communication networks. In the method, an input stream of applications is received at the summing input of adder 2, and a reference uniform stream of events is received at the subtracting input of adder 2. If content of adder 2 becomes negative, then it is assumed equal to zero, wherein at each transition of readings of adder 2 from zero to positive state at the input of cycle counter 6, a signal is received which increases reading of cycle counter 6 by 1 to preset value of number of cycles K. When preset value K is reached, readings of accumulating adders 4 and 5 are fixed and reset. At the output of accumulating adder 4, the average value of the number of applications of the input stream arriving during the cycle is obtained by dividing the reading of accumulating adder 4 by the number K. At the output of accumulating adder 5, the average value of the number of applications in each cycle is obtained by dividing the reading of accumulating adder 5 by the number K. A conditional average size of queues in the queuing system is determined based on the obtained values. Teletraffic in the system is controlled based on the obtained conditional average value of the queue size.

EFFECT: providing control of teletraffic in a queuing system based on data reflecting the real state of the queue in the queuing system.
