FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to analysis of packet telecommunication traffic and can be used in analysis of queues in other mass service systems. In the telecommunication traffic packets quasi-Poisson group stream generator, the first generator of constant time intervals receives given values of constant time intervals, expressed in the number of clock pulses, then control is transferred to second generator of time intervals, generating exponentially distributed time intervals with specified mathematical expectation, in which each time interval between adjacent events in stream is formed by summation of constant time interval generated by first time intervals generator, and exponentially distributed time interval generated by second time intervals generator, then control is transferred to application packets generator.
EFFECT: high accuracy of approximating relationships of average values of burst telecommunication traffic queues on a high-load interval.
