SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method for producing microcrystalline cellulose hydrogel, including cooking with simultaneous extraction of unbleached cellulose from the original raw material, its hydrogrinding with simultaneous bleaching, drying, acid hydrolysis, purification of the semi-finished cellulose product from acid residues, dissolution of microcrystalline cellulose in the LiCl/N,N-dimethylacetamide (DMAc) system, purification of the gel from the solvent, characterized in that biodamaged coniferous wood or industrial hemp bun is used as the starting material, and the dissolution of microcrystalline cellulose occurs without prior activation by heating twice to a temperature of 55-58°C, with each heating stage lasting 4-5 minutes followed by cooling to a temperature of 18-20°C.

EFFECT: present invention provides the use of the least expensive starting raw material, which is a finished commercial product obtained in the process of sulphate cooking (biodamaged softwood and industrial hemp bun); provides the creation of a method for producing microcrystalline cellulose hydrogel, which reduces technological costs by reducing the number of intermediate stages of processing microcrystalline cellulose; provides the creation of a three-dimensional structure of hydrogels that provide mechanical strength while maintaining moisture content; ensures the creation of a high and reversible ability of hydrogels to absorb and release water and other liquids.
