FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the rubber industry, specifically to methods of producing rubber mixtures containing microcrystalline cellulose and can be used in the production of water-swelling rubber used for sealing joints of pipes or blocks in construction works, in sewer connections, in prefabricated reinforced concrete structures, in the petrochemical industry, for maintaining air tightness in equipment, for insulation of open and closed wells in underground structures. Disclosed is a vulcanised rubber mixture based on butadiene-styrene rubber containing butadiene-styrene rubber “СКС-30АРК” – 100 wt.pts., stearic acid – 1 wt.pts., sulphur – 1.75 wt.pts., sulphenamide T – 1 wt.pts., zinc oxide – 3 wt.pts., microcrystalline cellulose – 10-30 wt.pts. Filler used is microcrystalline cellulose obtained from bio-damaged coniferous wood and hardwood.
EFFECT: disclosed invention enables to obtain a rubber mixture with improved physical and mechanical properties and increased degree of swelling in aggressive aqueous media.
