SUBSTANCE: group of inventions concerns production of a biological product for the protection of agricultural and ornamental plants from leaf-eating insects based on a new strain of Bacillus thuringiensis entomopathogenic bacteria. A biological product based on it is proposed to protect agricultural and ornamental plants from leaf-eating insects. The method of producing a biological product includes obtaining a mother culture of Bacillus thuringiensis var. thuringiensis RCAM05207 on corn-molasses medium for 13–15 hours with a CFU titre of at least 1.5–2.0⋅108 per 1 ml, which is subsequently used to obtain a liquid spore culture with a spore titre of at least 1.0–1.5 billion per 1 ml on the same medium at a temperature of 28–30°C, 220 rpm, for 46–48 hours, after which a liquid formulation with a spore titre of at least 2.4 billion/ml is produced in a fermenter in a pH-stabilized corn-molasses-soy or corn-molasses medium at 28–30°C, pressure of 0.4–0.6 atm, with stirring and aeration of 0.17–0.36 volumes/min for 72 hours, and at the end of cultivation, a stabilizer is added to the liquid culture, the said stabilizer is for example phenol, benzoic acid and carboxymethylcellulose, which provides storage of the biological product for 6 months.

EFFECT: obtaining of a biological product for protecting agricultural and ornamental plants from leaf-eating insects and a method of producing this biological product.
