FIELD: chemistry; oil, gas and coke-chemical industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used at oil and gas processing plants when recycling acid gases. To obtain sodium sulphide, 20–30% sodium hydroxide solution is saturated with hydrogen sulphide-containing gas with content of hydrogen sulphide of 97–99 wt.%. to form sodium hydrosulphide. Then 40–46% sodium hydroxide solution is added to the obtained sodium hydrosulphide in an amount corresponding to molar ratio NaSH/NaOH=1:1. Simultaneously with obtaining sodium sulphide, the obtained product is dried in a reactor-dryer under vacuum at a residual pressure of 8–20 mmHg and at temperature of 80–90 °C.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain crystalline hydrate of sodium sulphide Na2S⋅(2-3)H2O with content of basic substance of 63–67 wt.% and iron content less than 0,003 wt.%.
