FIELD: medicine; pharmacology.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to pharmacology and medicine, particularly to agents for treating pulmonary hypertension. Disclosed is use of 2-[2-[5-(hydroxymethyl)-3-methyl-1,3-oxazolidin-2-ylidene]-2-cyanoethylidene]indolin-3-one of formula I as an agent for treating pulmonary hypertension without side hypotensive action on systemic arterial pressure. Invention can be used in pulmonary arterial hypertension or chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension in doses of 1.5 to 200 mg.
EFFECT: use of invention allows to normalize hemodynamic parameters of pulmonary circulation, including reduction of high pressure in pulmonary artery and right ventricle of heart, reduction of pulmonary vascular resistance and restoration of cardiac output of right ventricle.
