SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a manual for field biotesting of water for contamination with oil and oil products using Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast as a test object, including quantitative assessment of contamination by value of reduction of carbon dioxide release rate by Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast, recorded by foam flow meter in installation with sample taken from place of suspected contamination, in comparison with the rate of carbon dioxide release by yeast in an installation with a control sample without contamination.
EFFECT: invention widens the range of methods for quantitative assessment of surface water contamination with oil products.
