FIELD: fibre optics.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to the area of protecting fibre optic systems with quantum key distribution from powerful laser radiation, as well as from attacks with laser damage to components and Trojan horses. Decorative acrylic paint of black or silver colour with the following composition: dye, water, acrylate, is used as a substance for a destructible element in devices for protecting against powerful laser radiation in systems with quantum key distribution. The proposed composition ensures artificial initiation of an optical discharge when exposed to optical radiation with an average power of 200 mW. When an optical discharge is artificially initiated, the core of the optical fibre melts, which prevents quantum information transfer, regardless of the transmittance and the wavelength of the incident radiation, as well as the size of the device.

EFFECT: expansion of available substances for use as a composition for a destructible element in protection devices, as well as simplification of the process of forming a destructible element in a protection device.
