FIELD: deep sea mining; devices for underwater mining.

SUBSTANCE: device can be used for lowering and lifting operations of underwater equipment for extraction of minerals from the bottom of seas and oceans. System includes a base vessel, at the stern of which there is a drum winch with a load-carrying cable-rope, one end of which is reeved on the drum winch, and the other one is connected to the gripping device, which is made in the form of a frame with a lead screw, on which levers with nuts are installed, engaging with the lead screw. On the upper surface of the frame there are screw propellers for positioning the position of the gripping device and a locking mechanism, and a storage bin. Drum winch is connected to a device for linear compensation of vertical movements of the load-carrying cable, which is made in the form of a unit with a horizontal axis of the base ship installed at the stern and unit with vertical axis, which is equipped with bracket and in lower part is rigidly connected to carriage, which is installed with possibility of reciprocal movement on wedge-shaped guide rigidly fixed on deck of base vessel. Bracket of vertical axis is hinged to rod of hydraulic cylinder of linear compensation device, which is made with automatic control system of hydraulic control valve. Housing of hydraulic cylinder of linear compensation device is pivotally connected to post, which is installed on deck of base vessel. Locking mechanism includes an lug with holes, which are located on the axis of its symmetry; at that, it is rigidly connected to a cylindrical trunnion installed in a through slot made in the frame of the gripping device. On the upper surface of the frame there is a rod of the hydraulic cylinder of the gripping device, which is pivotally connected to the lower hole of the lug, and the free end of the load-carrying cable is connected to the upper opening of the lug.
