FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a bioindicator medical mask. The mask is a filtering surface made of non-woven material with a folded structure designed to increase the area of the filtering surface when put on the face. The mask has indicators applied to the filtering surface, means for attaching the mask to the face, made in the form of elastic ear loops, and a metal retainer to fit to the face. The non-woven material is a meltblown material. As an indicator, two reagents were used, applied to the adjacent but not intersecting surfaces of the non-woven material in the area of the corners of the mouth, having different initial colours in relation to each other and designed to change the initial colour as pathogens accumulate in the non-woven material to signal the need to replace a medical mask.
EFFECT: creation of a disposable medical mask, which allows for objective control of the time of its use by changing the colour of a special indicator capable of detecting a wide range of pathogens being viruses, bacteria and moulds.
