FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of producing polyester terephthalate. Method includes a step a) preparing a feedstock for esterification, comprising at least one mixing section, into which at least a feedstock based on terephthalic acid and a feedstock based on a monomer diester are fed, so that the ratio of the total number of moles of diol links introduced into said mixing section to the total number of moles of terephthalate links introduced into said mixing section is from 1.0 to 2.0, wherein said mixing section operates at temperature of 25 to 250 °C and pressure greater than or equal to 0.1 MPa, b) an esterification step to obtain at least one reaction stream and an aqueous stream, a polycondensation step c) to obtain at least said polyester terephthalate and an output stream containing at least one monomer diol, and a step d) of treating the diols to obtain a purified diol stream.

EFFECT: disclosed method enables to improve the mixture of monomers of terephthalic acid and diol, which enables to reduce the content of solid substances in said mixture and thus facilitate later operations, particularly transportation, and reduce consumption of raw material, particularly diol.
