FIELD: pipelines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to design of elements of pipelines and equipment for transportation of multiphase flows, in particular, bends of pipelines and elbows of coils of process heating furnaces. Essence of the invention consists in the pipe bend for the multiphase flow transportation, made in the form of a bent pipe with a variable radius of curvature, consisting of several interconnected sections, on each of which the pipe axis is a transition curve, and the condition of conjugation of the pipeline sections to each other is equality in the conjugation points of the radii of curvature of the axis of the pipe and the angles of inclination of the tangent to it.
EFFECT: increased service life of pipeline bend for transportation of multiphase flow.
