FIELD: vehicles.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of protecting an automobile from atmospheric precipitation. Coating comprises sections with lower and upper layers of flexible material, as well as elements for attachment to vehicle body. Each section has an elongated rectangular shape and is intended for placement along the length of the vehicle. In each section between the lower and upper layers there is an elastic frame made in the form of an accordion from a polymer fabric material. In the working state of the protective coating, the sections of the fabric material of said layers enclosed between the adjacent bellows ribs are straightened, the distance between such ribs is not more than the height of the compressed accordion, and in the storage state, said sections are folded and placed between adjacent planes of the compressed accordion. Ends of each section are equipped with plastic or wooden slats. Upper layer of each section has a moisture-repellent and light-reflecting coating.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of coating using and increasing its rigidity.
