FIELD: vehicle construction.
SUBSTANCE: manufacturing or repairing vehicles, mainly aircraft or floating craft, in particular method for filling passage gaps between the surfaces of mating elements of a vehicle with sealant using vacuum processing, used in the manufacture or repair of sealed containers. The method is carried out by preparing the cavity of the passage gap (16) for filling. Then, a patch (2) made of an airtight material and covering the contour of the gap (3) is attached to the surface of one of the sides along the passage gap - the first surface (1), with the possibility of introducing sealant into the space between the patch and the first surface. Then the sealant (6) is introduced into this space and the patch is finally secured, preventing the passage of air along its contour (4) and a vacuum nozzle (7), made of transparent material and covering the contour of the gap (12), is fixed on the other side along the passage gap - the second surface (13). Next, a vacuum is created inside the vacuum nozzle (14) and the sealant (6) is sucked into the cavity of the passage gap (16), the appearance of the sealant along the contour of the gap (12) on the second surface (13) is visually recorded, and the vacuum is maintained during the life of the sealant. If the sealant appears much earlier than the end of its life and continues to be actively absorbed, the pressure is increased to a value that allows the suction force of the sealant to be reduced to a value less than the adhesion force of the sealant to the contour of the passage gap, which makes it possible to stabilize the sealant inside the gap. Moreover, the pressure value is determined during the process development of the method for filling the passage gaps with sealant. At the end of the life of the sealant, disconnect the nozzle (7), remove the patch (2) and clean the surfaces (1, 13) of sealant residues. Then wait until the sealant is completely cured.
EFFECT: ensuring uniform filling of the sealed gap throughout the entire volume, which does not require large labor costs and with the ability to visually monitor the filling process.
