FIELD: restoration of different type articles. SUBSTANCE: method for sealing off defects on article surface comprises steps of trimming surface in zone of defect and around it and applying onto said zone metal-containing polymer by two layers. Novelty is step of filling defect before applying metal-containing polymer with quick-setting sealant which is also applied by two layers in such a way that its second layer is applied onto first one with overlapping when first layer is no more fluid; after setting outer surface of second layer is trimmed until gloss disappearing. Method may be used for sealing off defects inside inhabited compartments of spatial flying objects. EFFECT: simplified technique of sealing defects with high speed and reliability.
