SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to assess speech in patients with congenital cleft palate. Questionnaire consisting of two parts—a passport part and a point part—is filled out. First, the passport part of the questionnaire is filled in, which contains the patient’s personal data, logopedic and dental history. Then the point part of the questionnaire is filled in, consisting of two sections: speech therapy and dental evaluation. For this purpose, the patient reads or repeats aloud the text selected according to his or her age. Patient’s speech is assessed and a speech therapy assessment is made. Further, the patient’s condition is visually assessed and a dental assessment is made. Thereafter, the logopedic and dental assessments are summed up and a value describing the patient’s condition and the recommended treatment is obtained.

EFFECT: method enables simple and convenient assessment of speech in patients with congenital cleft palate, provides higher efficiency and accuracy of evaluation of quality of surgical and speech therapy due to filling of questionnaire and complex evaluation of the most significant indices of speech.
