FIELD: screw piercing of a heated workpiece.
SUBSTANCE: device contains work rolls, a rod, a mandrel installed on the rod through an adapter, a unit for supplying a lubricating and deoxidizing product based on phosphate components with a flow of inactive gas, connected tightly to the adapter, and a unit for supplying inactive gas, connected tightly to the adapter. The adapter is made with outlet nozzle channels for supplying a lubricating and deoxidizing product, located in the longitudinal section at an acute angle to the longitudinal axis of the mandrel and oriented with their mouths in the cross section in the direction opposite to the direction of rotation of the mandrel. The adapter is made with outlet channels for supplying inactive gas located along its perimeter, made in a longitudinal section at an acute angle to the longitudinal axis of the mandrel and with mouths oriented in the direction of the mandrel. The outlet channels of the adapter for supplying the lubricating and deoxidizing product are located along its perimeter and in the longitudinal section the mouths are oriented in the opposite direction from the mandrel.
EFFECT: increased durability of the mandrels.
