SUBSTANCE: child safety seat for installation on the seat of a motor vehicle, as well as a method for installing a child car seat in a motor vehicle and a method for its operation. A child safety seat (50) for installation on a motor vehicle seat includes a holding element (52). Due to the design features, partial or complete dismantling or installation of the retaining element from the main body (51) is prevented in various configurations of the child safety seat and in its different operational states. The possibilities for configuring and/or installing the child car seat (50) depend on the fastening condition of the retaining element (52). A permanent connection device is provided between the holding element (52) and the main body (51).
EFFECT: improving the safety of using a child safety seat.
