SUBSTANCE: subject of the present invention is motor unit (2) in the form of a tubular rod, made so that it can be operated by holding it in the hand, wherein said motor unit (2) accommodates engine (M) and this motor unit is equipped with first safety drive member (4), which is designed so as to issue a permit for power supply of said motor (M), when it is actuated by user, and to issue a prohibition on the power supply of the motor (M) when it is not actuated by the user, and second control drive member (5), which is configured to control the drive of said motor (M) into rotation with variable speed, and operates only when the first safety drive member (4) has been previously actuated to switch on said engine (M). According to the invention, said first safety drive member (4) and said second control drive member (5) are located on both sides of the circumferential zone of said motor unit. Invention also relates to electrical appliance (1) of the immersion blender type, having motor unit (2) of the type described above, as well as blender attachment (3).
