FIELD: furniture production.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to furniture design, namely to shelving systems for storage of items. Modular collapsible rack system includes vertical modular sections. Modular sections consist of vertical rack walls formed by panels, horizontal shelves and steel bridges between rack walls of modular section. Main parts of the rack system, such as panels of rack walls and shelves, are made of thin material with thickness of 6–8 mm. Panels are perforated on both sides, on the front and back sides, with vertical rows of holes with the same pitch in interval of 30–100 mm. Panels are overlapped, forming one rack wall. Each inner rack wall is also a rack wall of the adjacent modular section. Modular section comprises steel bridges connecting two adjacent rack walls of one modular section through perforated holes at the top and bottom of modular section, thus forming one modular section of rack system. Shelves freely rest on thrust elements that are inserted into perforated holes in panels of rack walls. Rack system has reinforcing elements, which are made from the material of the rack walls and are located on the outer side of the modular rack system, along the extreme rack walls with the end to the plane of the rack walls, and are perforated along the entire length to ensure their height adjustment and are attached to the rack walls through metal angles.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of use of volume of room and density of storage, at simultaneous provision of lightness and stability of structure.
