FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to detect and indicate both the presence of metal and vapours of explosive substances and/or toxic gases. Combined metal-gas indicator according to the invention includes a semiconductor resistive gas analyser and an induction metal detector as part of a frame sensor pivotally connected to a telescopic rod, electronic signal processing unit with power supply, switching cable inside the rod, audio and video indication, wherein the gas analyser is made in a dielectric housing of a cylindrical shape, perforated at the ends, placed on the lower knee of the rod; comprises a measuring chamber with four replaceable resistive sensors, a supply-and-exhaust ventilation, an analogue-to-digital converter with a controller; on the front panel of the housing there is a sealed input for connection of a remote external control and power supply unit equipped with video indication, sensitivity adjustment handles and an on/off button.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to detect not only metal-containing explosive objects, but also to determine presence and type of explosive in them.
