FIELD: underground storage facilities for liquid and gaseous hydrocarbons.
SUBSTANCE: method for constructing underground vessels in rock salt deposits involves pumping water into a well to construct the vessel and maintaining the concentration of the source water at a level that ensures the optimal rate of rock dissolution. Then the brine is removed and the salt is extracted from the brine with the separation of water in an electrodialysis desalting unit. Next, the separated water is recirculated into the vessel being constructed. The brine is removed from the dissolution process and fed to an electrodialysis desalting unit with an optimal concentration of 30-50 g/l. Desalination of the brine is carried out for 40-50 minutes.
EFFECT: increase in environmental safety during the construction of storage facilities by reducing the discharge into absorption horizons and pumping into them only a small part of highly mineralized brine, reducing water consumption and efficient use of brine.
