SUBSTANCE: invention is related to image encoding/decoding method and equipment for performing in-loop filtering based on a subframe structure. An image decoding method performed by the image decoding equipment comprises decoding a bitstream to obtain a first flag indicating whether or not in-loop filtering can be performed across a subframe boundary. In-loop filtering at the current block boundary is performed based on the first flag. In-loop filtering on the boundary of the current block is performed only when in-loop filtering is available for both the boundary of the current subframe and the boundary of an adjacent subframe adjacent to the current subframe.
