FIELD: communication.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the communication via an improved forward link. The communication device is configured to provide wireless communication with an access point (AP) via the first channel. The communications apparatus comprises: circuitry that, in operation, generates a channel authorization request frame that contains information indicating the communications apparatus, another communications apparatus, and a second channel that is different from the first channel. The transmitter, during operation, transmits a generated channel permission request frame to the AP to request permission from the AP to use a second channel for forward link communication with another communications device. The receiver, during operation, receives a channel permission response frame from the AP, which authorizes the use of a second channel, wherein the communication device is also configured to communicate with another communication device via a forward link over the second channel after receiving the channel permission response frame. Forward Link uses a tunnelled forward link setup.

EFFECT: ability to communicate via an improved forward link in specific bands/channels.
