FIELD: information technologies.

SUBSTANCE: protection of Medium Access Control is applied (MAC-protection) for Transfer Possibility (TXOP) for multimode operation in system of wireless local area network (WLAN). In particular, MAC-mechanisms are determined to support frames of multimode Permission for Transfer (CTS), and frames of multimode Competition-Free End (CF-End), transferred by point of access, besides, every of specified frames is transmitted in format suitable for appropriate mode, which is also applicable for single-mode operation as a trivial case. MAC-mechanisms make it possible to round duration of TXOP to release unused part of TXOP, when there is no more data that require transfer. Release of unused protected TXOP is possible for both protected transfers of access point and for protected transfers of station (STA).

EFFECT: expansion of double-mode protection to support operation in multiple modes, and in operation of sequence of Function of Multiple Poll of Power-saving in multi-mode system in an efficient manner from the point of view of pass band.
