SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control of operating modes of shutoff and control valves for pipelines and can be used for local control of technological processes at chemical, petrochemical, oil refining and other industries. Mechanism for indicating the required position of the shut-off valves corresponding to the operating mode of the control system includes a handle for selecting operating modes, which are located on the front panel of the housing of the mechanism, shut-off valve position control handles, information windows for displaying color and/or text indicators of the shut-off valve position applied to the movable indication plates, located behind the front panel and kinematically connected to the operating mode selection handle.

EFFECT: invention is aimed at enabling operation of the indication mechanism in a wider climatic range (temperature, humidity, aggressive environment), in its simplification due to absence of electronic devices and software, and as a result, higher reliability and maintainability in field conditions.
