FIELD: biology; genetics; pharmacology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to developmental biology, genetics, pharmacology, pathological anatomy and pathological physiology, and can be used for preclinical studies on static endurance of small rodents. Automated device for conducting the “inverted grid” behavioural test comprises a vertically arranged housing and a grid with a mesh size allowing an animal to be fixed on the grid. Housing is made at least 1 meter high. Screen is fixed in the upper part of the housing and is made with possibility of turning around the axis. In the lower part of the device there is a drawer for extraction of an animal after a fall. Drawer guides are arranged so as to provide a distance from the net to the bottom of the drawer in accordance with the requirements of the examination protocol. On the outer side surface of the housing there is a servo drive, a strain gauge connected to the grid and the servo drive, a control controller with a display and with a Bluetooth interface for connecting to an external PC, made with possibility of connection to more than one device for conducting behavioural test “inverted grid” simultaneously for a group of animals.

EFFECT: implementation of the invention provides creation of a device for carrying out the “inverted grid” test with possibility of automation.
