SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biomedicine and can be used to determine adaptogenic activity and specific effect of certain drugs and chemical compounds on the organism of small laboratory animals. Experimentally tested animal is placed on an artificially created horizontal platform. Motion of the animal is recorded using video fixing cameras. Physical parameters are recorded with a thermal imager.

EFFECT: method enables maximum objective obtaining of data on behavior and physical state of small laboratory animals for detecting specific effect of certain drugs and chemical compounds on the body by developing experimental conditions, in which animals are subjected to forced non-reflex behavior, but excludes the effect of painful physical stimuli.
