FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: proposed three-cycle method for drying moistened insulation of electrical machines with an oscillating energy supply is characterized by the fact that drying is carried out in cycles with a change in the level of energy supply in accordance with the operating mode of the electric heater installation, which is set based on the actual value of the degree of moistened insulation. The duration of the cycles is selected based on the readings of the humidity sensors. There are 5 operating modes for the fan motor and electric heater. In operating mode 1, the fan motor and electric heater are supplied with rated power РN. In operating mode 2, the fan motor is also supplied with rated power РN, and the electric heater is de-energized. In operating mode 3, a power of 0.8 PN is supplied to the fan motor and a power of 0.67 PN is supplied to the electric heater. In operating mode 4, a power of 0.65 PN is supplied to the fan motor, and the electric heater is de-energized. In operating mode 5, a power of 0.65 PN is supplied to the fan motor and 0.33 PN to the electric heater. The drying process ends with another moisture measurement, at which the sensor readings give the “dry” insulation value.

EFFECT: drying of insulation, increasing its reliability.
