FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related to production and repair of electrical machines, for example, of windings for electrical traction machines (ETM) of locomotives and multiple units. According to IR-hot air convection-vacuum method and device for its implementation drying of winding insulation for magnet system in rotated uniformly ETM is carried out due to combination of three methods of drying: infrared radiation (IR), convection and vacuum. The installation consists of the base (3), to which rack (2) is mounted with infrared (IR) radiators. Frame (1) is set onto the base by an overhead crane and through reducing gear (5) and master bearing roller (4) it is driven into rotation by integral frequency-controlled asynchronous motor (6).

EFFECT: improved quality of drying for winding insulation of magnet system in ETM frame, reduced power consumption and time for process of drying.
