FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an apparatus and a method for processing multiphase high-temperature steel-containing slag. Method of slag treatment is carried out using installation for treatment of multiphase steel-containing slag. Proposed plant comprises equipment for feed of steel-containing slag with feed chute, rotary drum for steel-containing slag and storage bin arranged between said feed chute and rotary drum. At that, the accumulation hopper has the shape of a cylinder, and one of its ends is connected with possibility of rotation to the lower open end of the chute with a funnel, and the other end is connected to the processing chamber of the rotating drum, and the axis of the hopper coincides with the axis of the rotating drum. Axis of the rotating drum is inclined relative to the horizontal plane, and the angle of inclination is from 8° up to 12°. Inner wall of the storage bin is water-cooled. Volume of the accumulating bin is 2-3 times greater than the volume of the slag tank.

EFFECT: invention provides complete quantitative, continuous, high-efficiency, automated and safe treatment of steel-containing slag.
