FIELD: shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of shipbuilding, namely to devices for cooling of exhaust gases of marine engines of marine vessels and prevention of explosions in the working area during formation of explosive mixtures with hydrogen sulphide. Ship engine exhaust gas cooling device comprises a cooling unit consisting of installed in series: two water coolers for cooling exhaust gases, a water pump, water pipes, sea water pump connected to water pipeline is used as water pump, water pipeline is equipped with inlet and outlet branch pipes, there is a gas pipeline connected to the water coolers and including a gas bypass pipe for bypassing the waste gases, bypassing the coolers in the absence of hydrogen sulphide in the working area, gas pipeline is equipped with inlet and outlet gas nozzles, in the gas bypass pipe and in the gas pipeline there are rotatable metal shutters of a round shape to control the flow of exhaust gases, wherein to determine the presence of hydrogen sulphide in the working area, there is a hydrogen sulphide sensor installed and rigidly fixed on the outlet gas branch pipe, there is a controller for controlling the sea water pump, installed and fixed on the pump housing and connected to hydrogen sulphide sensor and two actuators for automatic control of gates installed and rigidly fixed on gas pipeline, gas bypass pipe and connected to gates.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of the device when using it.
