SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a cooling circuit of an internal combustion engine supercharging air cooler. Disclosed are methods and system for starting coolant pump for coolant supply to charge air supercharger by means of turbo-supercharger running on exhaust gases. In one example, the method may include the following step: the coolant flow is fed through a supercharging air cooler through a cooling pump driven by mechanical force of the turbocharger. Thus, coolant flow can increase with increase of turbo supercharger rotation speed, and this method may additionally include the following stage: Turbocharger bypass gate valve is controlled to control energy supplied to the cooling pump.

EFFECT: invention provides cooling for increasing charge air flow rate as turbocharger rpm increases.
