SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture and can be used in horticulture, namely for protection of plants from return frosts. Autonomous device for automatic protection of fruit and berry plants from frost comprises a housing in which there is a water tank with a water level sensor, an ultrasonic evaporator, as well as a control unit connected to contacts of four air temperature sensors, which control air temperature drop below zero degrees in automatic mode. Air temperature sensors are located outside the housing of the device and are installed at different heights of protected plants. Ultrasonic evaporator which converts water flowing through a pipeline from the tank into a stream of water vapour, is installed in the upper part of the tank. In the lower part of the reservoir there is an accumulator battery, which makes it possible for the device to be self-contained.

EFFECT: invention provides reduction of energy consumption for creation of water vapour for protection of plants and activation of the device in automatic mode when ambient air temperature drops below zero.
