FIELD: personal hygiene.
SUBSTANCE: composition for personal hygiene of local action for reducing or preventing fragmentation of mitochondria in skin cells including (a) from 0.001 to 10% of the weight of niacinamide, from 0.001 to 10% from the mass of the cooperatively interacting agent having a beneficial effect on the skin, wherein said cooperatively interacting agent having a beneficial effect on skin, is 1-methylnicotinamide chloride and N-acetylmethionine, (b) an optional additional agent having a beneficial effect on the skin, (c) a cosmetically acceptable carrier. Also disclosed is a method for preventing mitochondrial fragmentation in the skin of an individual in need thereof, use of a composition for personal hygiene of local action to reduce mitochondrial fragmentation, use of niacinamide and a cooperatively interacting agent having a beneficial effect on the skin, for the production of a composition for personal hygiene of local action for reducing or preventing fragmentation of mitochondria in skin cells.
