SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the fodder industry, namely to methods of producing dry extracts of medicinal plants suitable for use as a fodder additive for feeding farm animals and birds. Method of producing dry extract of medicinal plants involves milling dried flowers of common tansy, soaking in water-ethanol solution, first, two-step water-ethanol extraction with intense boiling under vacuum, followed by extraction with distilled water, combining and concentrating the obtained extracts, drying the thick extract.
EFFECT: invention allows to optimize modes of water-ethanol extraction and drying, to reduce consumption of reagents and duration of process, to increase output of end product and its quality.
