FIELD: gas turbine engine.
SUBSTANCE: diagnostics of the technical condition of gas turbine engine (GTE) components during operation of a gas turbine unit (GTU) in order to make decisions on their maintenance and further operation of the installation. The method for operating a gas turbine unit includes diagnosing the temperature state of parts. During GTU operation at the current time, the oil temperatures at the drain from the front and rear supports of the power turbine (PT) rotor of the gas turbine engine are measured and recorded. Then calculate and record the average ΔTav of the oil temperature difference at the drain from the front and rear supports of the PT rotor over the previous 3 minutes. Next, determine the difference between the values ΔTav calculated at the current time and 3 hours before it. If the absolute value of the resulting difference is more than 30% of the value ΔTav, calculated 3 hours before the current point in time, when its positive value is generated, a signal on deterioration of the technical condition of the front support of the GTE PT rotor is generated, and when it is negative, a signal is generated on deterioration of the technical condition of the rear support of the GTE PT rotor. The use of the proposed method ensures detection of deterioration in the technical condition of the GTE PT rotor support up to several hours earlier than would occur without its use.
EFFECT: such early detection of deterioration in the technical condition of the GTE PT rotor support makes it possible to reduce the costs of its maintenance and repair, which leads to an increase in the GTU operational efficiency.
