FIELD: carbon fibre.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for producing finished carbon fibres and can be used as structural polymer materials for the production of special-purpose products in additive technologies. The method for producing sizing carbon fibres intended for structural products in additive technologies is based on sizing carbon fibre by applying a sizing component from a solution followed by drying in a drying oven under vacuum at 85-86 °C, while the sizing component is applied from solutions with concentrations of 0.1-0.67 wt.% in an organic solvent - ethyl alcohol of the head fraction, and carry out a stepwise increase in temperature with simultaneous distillation of the solvent components according to the following regime: 20 °C - 10 min; 35 °C - 15 min; 50 °C - 5 min; 60 °C - 5 min; 85 °C - 10 min, and the quantitative ratio of the components corresponds, wt.%: 1-methyl-2,6-diaminobenzene - 0.5-3.5, carbon fibre - 99.5-96.5. The invention also relates to a reinforced polymer composition intended for production of structural products in additive technologies, containing a polymer matrix based on polyetherimide and sizing carbon fibre obtained by the method of producing sizing carbon fibres and the quantitative ratio of the components in the polymer composition corresponds, wt.%: polyetherimide - 80, finished carbon fibre - 20.

EFFECT: improved thermal resistance of the created polymer compositions due to introduction of a sizing compound - 1-methyl-2,6-diaminobenzene, which increases wettability of the filler and increases the boundary interactions between the filler and the polyetherimide matrix, in addition, ethyl alcohol of the head fraction is recycled, which is a by-product of ethanol production.
