FIELD: various technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to suspended equipment for butt welding of rails. On two guides the movable body of the machine is installed. On the fixed housing there are two transformers and two upsetting hydraulic cylinders, the rods of which are located with provision of action on the movable housing. In movable and fixed housings there are two power levers with hydraulic cylinders of clamping and two electrode levers with electrodes with current leads fixed on their lower ends. Supports for the upper surface of the rails, which are mounted in the fixed housing, are made in the form of keys pressed into slots made in the lower part of the housing. Stops mounted in the movable housing are made in the form of rotary levers installed in the recess of the lower part of the housing and equipped with a return plate. Stops in movable and fixed housings of the machine are installed with possibility of their rigid pressing by plates of power levers of the machine.

EFFECT: disclosed design of stops for upper part of rail head surface prevents their destruction and violation of rail geometry during welding.
