FIELD: rail vehicles.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to suspended equipment for butt welding of rails. Suspended machine stationary housing accommodates two transformers and two upsetting hydraulic cylinders with their rods arranged to act on moving housing mounted on two guides. In movable and fixed housings there are two power levers with hydraulic cylinders of clamping and two electrode levers with electrodes with current leads fixed on their lower ends. Electrode levers are made completely independent and each of them is installed with possibility of rolling around its axis through axis of electrode lever cylinder, independently from power levers. Cylinders of electrode levers are made with possibility of separate control of each of them and provision of independent clamping of rail by each of electrodes with specified force or synchronous clamping of rail by two electrodes.
EFFECT: machine provides optimal electric contact of electrodes with rail surface, prevention of electrode lever cylinder failure and increased wear of electrode surface.
