SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of operation of submersible well pump units. Device comprises a pump with a cylindrical housing, a filter cleaning device in the form of a scraper, having the ability to cover the shank and equipped at the ends with upper and lower rings, respectively, rigidly connected to the housing and mating the shank. Intake filter is made in the form of a perforated and spring-loaded cylindrical shank, which is telescopically connected to the housing with the possibility of axial movement limited by the stop. Shank and the scraper with the lower ring are installed with the possibility of relative back-and-forth movement and communication of the shank cavity with the pump inlet. Pump housing is made with possibility of connection with tubing string communicated with outlet branch pipe of wellhead equipment. Shank in the lower part is equipped with an annular protrusion, a spring is installed between the annular protrusion of the shank and the lower ring of the scraper, outlet branch pipe of wellhead equipment is equipped with series-connected adjustable throttle and flow meter. Weight of the shank is equal to the spring force at the middle position of the shank.

EFFECT: ruled out reduction of pump feed due to maintenance of filter throughput at maximum level, forced actuation of cleaning system.
