FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to radiation diagnostics. Method of X-ray computed tomography consists in illumination of patient’s body with external X-ray radiation, detection of radiation passed through body with further computer processing of fixed signals of detectors and obtaining of image. At that, patient’s body is exposed in discrete mode using diaphragm with shutter with characteristic X-ray radiation in energy range of 35–80 keV, emitted by radioactive isotope, which decays through electronic capture and has a half-life of more than 3 months.

EFFECT: reducing the dose load on the patient, increasing the clarity and resolution of visualization and reducing the cost of producing the required X-ray radiation.
