FIELD: veterinary medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the prevention of gastrointestinal diseases of calves caused by opportunistic and pathogenic microflora. The method includes feeding with Dextranal-40 and Vetom 1 used in combination. Dextranal-40 is used in the form of a powder, which is pre-mixed in warm boiled water in the amount of 20 g per 1 litre of water and given to calves once every three days for 15 days at a dose of 20 mg/kg of live weight. Vetom 1 is mixed in milk and given to calves once a day for 15 days at a dose of 50 mg/kg live weight.
EFFECT: invention increases the effectiveness of prevention due to the synergistic effect of medicinal products.
