FIELD: measurement.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment, mainly to measurement of distribution of spectral solar illumination in photic layer of water of water bodies by depth. Method of measuring distribution of spectral solar illumination consists in the fact that during measurement the first and second sealed measuring heads are installed under the water surface with orientation of the entrance window to the zenith at depth of 2 to 3 cm, wherein in both measuring heads there is an identical set of light filters for different wavelengths in range from 300 to 900 nm, which are automatically installed on optical axes of the heads. In each head the illumination value for each light filter is measured and memorized. For each pair of identical light filters of measuring heads, ratios of measured values are calculated and taken as 100 %. First measuring head is immersed to the required depth. Similar measurements of spectral illumination are repeated for all light filters in each measuring head and calculations of ratios of measured values are compared with corresponding values taken as 100 % and calculating the value in percentage of illumination for each pair of filters of measuring heads relative to illumination at the surface of the water body. Process is repeated until values of the measured illumination for all light filters of the first measuring head become equal to zero. Also disclosed is a device for implementing the proposed method.
EFFECT: invention enables to reduce errors and reduce measurement time, as well as automation of data recording.
