FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly to thermally hardened alloys of Al-Mg-Si system and articles made from this alloy. Alloy based on aluminium of Al-Mg-Si system contains, wt.%: magnesium 0.4–0.8, silicon 0.7–1.5, manganese 0.01–0.2, calcium 0.0001–0.08, copper 0.01–0.2, iron 0.05–0.25, chrome 0.005–0.1, titanium 0.01–0.1, nickel up to 0.1, zinc 0.01–0.25, beryllium 0.0001–0.05, aluminium – the rest.
EFFECT: alloy is characterized by high strength after short-term artificial aging and high strength of welded joints obtained by spot welding without surface preparation for welding.
