FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to oil and gas industry and can be used in offshore well construction. Casing hanger plug comprises body with central bore with tapered thread at its inlet and outlet. Body has at least one conical surface for contact with mating surface of pipe string, nut, hook, at least one seal and at least one wiper ring are mounted on the outer surface of the body to be arranged inside the pipe string. On the outer surface of the body there is a thread made with the possibility of movement of a nut along it, which interacts with a hook installed on the body, in cross-section resembling a turned letter “C” with a shoulder. Under the action of the nut, the hook can either be compressed, and the shoulder is buried under the external surface of the plug, or it can be unclamped, and the shoulder protrudes above the external surface of the plug.

EFFECT: simplifying the design of the tool, suitable for both hydraulic tests of blowout preventer and/or annular seal, and for installation and removal of annular seal in pipe string during works on arrangement of wellhead.
