SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a rubber composition for a tire, as well as a tire having excellent characteristics when driving on snow, characteristics of grip on a wet surface, as well as processability of molding. Rubber composition for a tire contains, in 100 parts by weight of diene rubber containing from 25 to 50 wt.% of butadiene rubber, from 50 to 75 parts by weight of a plasticiser component, from 120 to 180 parts by weight of silica, M1 parts by weight of 3-octanoylthio-1-propyltriethoxysilane and M2 parts by weight of alkyltriethoxysilane, which has an alkyl group having from 7 to 20 carbon atoms. Total amount of (M1+M2) 3-octanoylthio-1-propyltriethoxysilane and alkyltriethoxysilane ranges from 5 to 10 wt.% relative to the weight of silica. and the ratio of [M2/(M1+M2)] alkyltriethoxysilane to the total amount of 3-octanoylthio-1-propyltriethoxysilane and alkyltriethoxysilane is from 0.10 to 0.40. Plasticiser component contains oils, diene rubbers having number average molecular weight of 5,000 or 10,000 to 50,000, and resin components.
EFFECT: providing a rubber composition containing components of butadiene rubber, a plasticiser, 3-octanoylthio-1-propyltriethoxysilane and alkylsilane and silica in said amount improves dispersibility of silica with the possibility of obtaining a rubber composition for a tire having excellent characteristics when driving on snow and characteristics of grip on a wet surface, as well as processability of molding.
