FIELD: automotive industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the automotive industry. Studded tire includes stud pins built into tread section surface contacting with road surface, wherein tread section is made of running layer and subtread. Hardness of the rubber of cap layer at 20 °C – Hc, hardness of the rubber of the subtread – Hu, tensile stress (MPa) of the cap layer at elongation of 300 % at 23 °C – Sc, tensile stress (MPa) of the subtread at elongation of 300 % at 23 °C – Su; and relationships (1) – (4) are satisfied: Hc ≤ 60 ∙∙∙ (1), Hu – Hc ≥ 8 ∙∙∙ (2), Sc ≥ 5.5 ∙∙∙ (3), and Su/Sc ≥ 2.0 ∙∙∙ (4).
EFFECT: increased ability to retain stud studs and improved performance characteristics when driving on snow and ice.
